Still paying like a slot machine...now, a very small slot machine. The last movie I was part of was in 1990, "Harley Davidson and the Marlboro Man", starring Don Johnson and Mickey Rourke and...I still get an annual check, 36 years later!! Making a movie is...boring. All the "takes", all the corrections, all the "flubs" - (some dandies!)... and everyone trying to make it look "fresh"...every time! In my opinion, Directors are the most patient people on God's earth. They have to "envision" the scene and make it happen. Also, all the Assistant Directors telling the "extras" - Don't look at the cameras. Don't pick your nose, move this way, "pretend this, pretend that" - the Coordination is AMAZING! I've often criticized actors for being shallow and ego centered (THEY ARE!!) However, to do the various scenes over and over, does take talent. So...with that part of my life behind me, I will take my residual check up to our local store and buy a "Blue Bunny Ice Cream Sundae" even though I'll have to add another $1.63 to pay for it!
