I stopped dead in my tracks....what did I hear?..what was that sound?....I go out to do my chores early in the morning when it's still "dark as the inside of an elephant"! I turned on the barn lights and walked down the aisle of stalls to my favorite horse "Stinger". He's always standing there with his head over the gate waiting for me and the Peppermint treats! I usually pet and scratch him for a few minutes and then trudge the 100 yards back to the house. As I walked by one of thestalls I keep my baled straw in, I heard a rustling sound and a startled cry. I stopped and my old 78-year-old mind played tricks on me as I envisioned Mary, Joseph, and Baby Jesus resting on the straw. I just kept staring at that stall, everything was perfectly clear to me, even the barn cats and Ol' Stinger were just staring at the stall! It was eerie but serene and then...the "vision" was gone. I turned off the barn lights and started walking to the house when suddenly, very quietly I heard... "God bless you and Merry Christmas". I wish to you dear reader the same kind of Christmas vision...Merry Christmas and God Bless!
