A really good friend of mine in Montana sent me a "story" about a man that was “up in years”...like me. The gist of the message, with its fine points, was that all of us, even with our many faults, should be thankful for the blessings we have and what we’ve accomplished. The article contained 14 bullet points and one in particular caught my attention for everyday living, and I will follow this for the rest of my life. #9 - I walk away from people that do not value me. They may not know my worth....but I do!! - powerful! All of us, every day, meet with people that are “snobs” and have their “noses up in the air” with a “holier than thou” attitude. For some reason, money, power, prestige, whatever, they elevate themselves to 30,000 feet and look down on certain folks. I’ve stated this before, I have friends that are multimillionaires and friends that can’t rub two nickels together to make a dime...but they’re my friends! I’ve had a good life,..there’s been quite a few trials and tribulations, but God has blessed me with me a tremendous wife to “turn the stampede”. Anyone that snubs me or treats me with little or no respect for who I am or what I’ve accomplished, like in the Bible, I shake the dust off my boots in their direction and they mean nothing to me. I’m proud of who I am and what God’s helped me to do, and I won’t allow anyone to treat me "less" - neither should YOU!
