I've said this so many times in my life... "attitude can defeat ability", any time, any place, anybody!! I believe this, because I've lived it. The "know it all" doctors said I would be in a wheelchair for the rest of my life after contracting polio when I was five...NOPE. When I heard, and I do remember the conversation with the doctor and my parents, I vowed that would not happen...it hasn't. I played basketball, baseball, was a shot-putter and discus thrower and have been on horses since age 6. There were those that said "Oh, you can't" and to those I said get out of my way and watch me! There are NO limits to what YOU can do or what you CAN achieve and like the NIKE slogan - "Just Do It!" Case in point, the University of Colorado football team. For the last TOO many years they were lucky to get off the field without a resemblance to Custer's Last Stand – they couldn't win a game even if the other team played the cheerleaders!!...THEN...along comes "attitude" in the name of NEW head Coach Deon Sanders, a former top achiever in football and baseball. Sanders cleaned out the trashy "can't do", with the positive "will do" and as of this writing, Colorado is in the top 20, undefeated at 2-0! Attitude...yup...attitude can and will kick the tail feathers of talent if you try TRY!
