So...after my show today, my lovely bride suggested that I lower my temperature of hatred for the "Biden Follies" and go sit on the back porch. Okay. After donning a bandana, vest, heavy Carhartt coat and my "Johnny Carson" hunting cap with ear muffs (I already had long underwear on)...we went outside. Its April 20th...and I'm very cold! Yup...there we sat, all bundled up like a couple walrus' from Alaska, not willing to admit to each other that the frigid wind and low temperature was changing our LOVE for each other! "Shall we go in dear"?? - "Oh no I'm fine and very comfortable"...damn liars. Suddenly through frost caked eyes and ears that were almost beyond perceiving sound...I heard and saw the birds. Sparrows, Robins, Doves, Redwing Blackbirds all singing and chirping gleefully. Flitting to and fro and just glad to be alive. They were happy regardless of the cold and they were enjoying the day! It made me smile though Ice Cracked Lips and I reached out my popsicle fingers to hold Deanne's shivering digits and say "I love you"! It was a very touching moment, one that I'll treasure forever..and best of all, after this moment of closeness...I got up and went into a warm house...too doggone cold outside!
