So... you ride into town one Sunday and people love you. They cheer, they wave, they line the streets with palm branches as you pass by...then six days later they demand you die by crucifixion! They jeer at you, spit on you, and slap and whip you, and scream for a murderer to be released from prison, and you face the most heinous of deaths. The rabid crazed mob wins and you are forced to carry and drag your cross up the hill called Golgotha. There, you are nailed to the wood and put upright for all to see and mock. You were crucified with two others...one displayed contempt for you up to his final breath...the other pleaded for you to accept him into paradise. The pain, the agony, the lack of being able to breathe has you on the verge of death...but you forgive them, all of them for what they have done. And then, knowing that God's Will has been accomplished...you say "it is finished"! At that moment, Jesus died for all to have eternal life if you believe in HIM. On Easter morning He rose from the grave to give us all hope and inspiration for God's grace. Thank you Jesus...
