I slammed down the phone in disgust! The person on the line had such a strong Mexican accent and talked so fast I couldn't understand a word...I was calling in a claim to my insurance company for a cracked windshield, I was in the hurry and this great "diversity achievement" representative answered the call. I don't like to keep saying "pardon me?" or "I'm sorry I can't understand you" or "would you please speak slower"...I don't want to be a speech therapist over the phone! Diversity my...foot! Companies should be sure the answering staff at their headquarters can enunciate and articulate our language, ENGLISH to their customers! More and more this is happening, and it's not good for customer relations. If you can't speak and be understood, get a different job like maybe changing tires, feeding goats or separating hummingbird fecal material from their birdseed!! I know there are millions of people just as frustrated as I am, and all of us need to tell these companies to put better, qualified people on their phones. Oh to be sure, we'll be called bigots, racists, hate mongers on and on...BUT...it's my money I've spent with you MR. CEO, so provide people that can verbalize in an understandable manner!!....WHEW!....I feel better! RING! RING! "Hello"?..what did you say???
