Do you have a "place" where you can go to just think and appreciate what's around you? I do and it's not secluded or far off, it's my back porch. It's not a big porch, probably 10 feet by 10 feet with a ramp on one side and stairs on the other. There is a roof extension that juts out 4 feet so Deanne and I can sit on the porch in the rain and not get wet...maybe. We can see to the north, the east and the south the beautiful mountains, the trees and a lot of the farming activity all around us. It's such a blessing to sit there in the late afternoon and early evening when it's quiet and just absorb...God. People drive by and I know they think I've completely lost my mind when its 25 degrees, snowing, and there I sit bundled up like an Eskimo...thinking. Go ahead and laugh, but sitting on my deck has been very productive for me working out problems with the radio program, all the way to figuring how and if we can afford to go back to Arizona. Deanne really needs to go – it would help her tremendously. I've never really been a person who really cares about what other people think about me – they've got their own "horses to saddle" - and I actually feel they're jealous as they drive by in their warm cars. I'm enjoying, I'm praying and I'm appreciating what I have – not what I want. Yup,..that porch has paid for itself many times over...YOU need to have one.
