Last week Deanne and I went to another of the MORE frequent doctor's appointments, yeah, I know...we're getter old-er! After conversing about this and what about that, the doctor, a very good friend, said "here's the bottom line...if you want to live to your mid-80's, you've got to stop doing a lot of what you're doing now!" MMM? So.., if I quit doing what I love, quit being active with my horse activities, stop taking care of my cattle...and just sit on the porch watching the hummingbirds - I may live longer??? I can and will only speak for me, but to semi-vegetate to get a few more years doesn't "cut the cake" for ME! There is a fantastic song by Cody Johnson called "Till You Can't", the lyrics are "spot on" for all of us to do as much as we can while we can! God has our "Calendar", he knows when he is going to call us home and wants us to be the best we can be everyday of our gifted lives. I'm 74 and if Dave and Sam and others want to rope and Ole' Stinger's still sound – load the steers in the chute! I've made a lot of mistakes in my life and some terrible choices. I'm a sinner, probably worse than most...BUT...I believe I've been forgiven and blessed to Keep On – Keeping On! Don't waste a day (except for these hot ones!!) get out and enjoy, get out and "DO"!! 84, 85 whatever sounds nice, but not just sittin' in a chair counting ducks on the lake!
