I have always wished I was better organized. Everything had a place and was in its place. I've been to some really nice horse ranches where everything was so neat and every bridle, blanket and saddle was perfectly placed...my equipment...not so much. I don't mean to say that my tack is in a great big clumsy pile...(my ropes are!) but I do know where I can find what I'm looking for...just give me a lil' time!! I "found" a horse blanket the other day that I didn't know I owned! And...earlier this spring I found a box of 3 brand new ropes I forgot I'd ordered! And...a new 12 pack of roping gloves still in the bag with the receipt! "Finding" these items was like winning a treasure hunt, or like getting extra birthday or Christmas presents...it was fun! To all the people that are so organized, methodized and systematized...you don't know the pure excitement and enjoyment of living my "finders" lifestyle! You know the what, the why and the where of all your personal goods and can go and get what you need at the "drop of the hat"...what fun is that? I have to sit and ponder and quiz myself as to did I purchase the item, what year, or where did I possibly lay it down – these questions provide the genesis of a good treasure hunt! And that's where the fun starts...I find other things that I never had a clue that I possessed...what a glorious day! For all of you "Neatniks" you're missing out on "exploration fun", buy something, lay it somewhere, anywhere and the 3 months later try to find it, you may be blessed with a treasure trove of goodies!
