On almost every television network programming, they have panel discussions or talk/debate segments and 99.9% of the panelists haven't got a clue of what does goes on in rural America. Their lack of knowledge and understanding is obvious and many times I've been encouraged to throw a boot at the screen. These "city slickers" have never pulled a calf at 2AM in the snow, they don't have any idea what work and worry is from planting a crop to harvest and what possible profit the market will offer for their labors. These "windbags" in suits and dresses have never worried about wolves and cougars killing their livestock or looking out the kitchen window at the crops devastated and ripped by a hail storm. But, these "windbags" pretend to have all the answers and ideas for all the world's ills, especially us "down the totem pole, wrangler wearing country folk"! There are thousands of bona fide experts in Agriculture and rural living that could absolutely give facts and substance to the urban blather. Whether its "The View, The Five, Joy Reid, Don Lemon, Juan Williams...the list goes on and on...these "windbags" have only dirtied their hands changing the kitty litter box or picking up puppy poop! Gee here's a thought, why not try putting some of "US" on a panel and find out what "WE" can share so URBANITES might learn to respect "us ole clod kickers"! I personally would love to enlighten the likes of Geraldo Rivera regarding real life on the farm and ranch that feeds him! I would absolutely relish showing up on the set of "The Five" wearing a sports jacket, pressed wranglers and my Tony Lamas and dare them to look down on me! Urban and Country...too bad we can't somehow be on the same page.
