I've watched the western "The Magnificent Seven" at least 50 times, and suddenly, watching it again last Tuesday...real life crept in! The storyline is seven men that are hired by a poor Mexican town to protect them and chase away the bad, evil Mexican bandidos. Yul Bryner and Steve McQueen are the lead actors and they line up 5 others to help teach the townspeople how to shoot guns and help protect themselves...they were worthless. The bandidos, with at least 75 men, storm the town and "The Magnificent Seven" are captured and taken to the head "Bad Dude Bandido", they are told to ride away in shame and never to return. After being escorted miles away from the little town, the "7" are told to "Adios" and their guns are thrown in the dirt. Tall, lanky James Coburn who played "Britt" says - "Nobody throws my guns in the dirt and tells me to leave...nobody!" Right here, the "personality" of the movie changes, "The Magnificent Seven" are going back to the town and Eli Wallach who played Calvera, the "head bad bandido" is gonna' get his butt kicked!! Ponder for a moment...that is exactly what happened to America in Afghanistan. We went there to help and train their people to fend for themselves, and because of so many "tie your hands behind your back" policies, WE are forced to leave with our "tails between our legs" and our weapons and tanks and helicopters left in the dirt. Along with this, 1000's of Americans have no idea HOW they're going to get out of this chaos. HERE, right here is the point that our military, like "The Magnificent Seven" should say "Let's go back and really kick some ass!!" (excuse me please!) Let's try to restore pride and love of Country...again...to this the greatest of all countries EVER...The United States of America...God Bless our Troops!!!!
God Bless
