This past Friday I turned 73...!!! Holy Tylenol! The old sage saying comes to mind, "If I'd known I was going to live this long, I'd have taken better care of myself"...maybe. I've said this before, I am so blessed to do what I do at an age where most people are sedentary and "think" about it! God still lets me ride Ole' Stinger, rope and do my chores...I'm grateful. However, the greatest gift I had on my birthday was not something material, it was seeing and witnessing a gigantic health comeback for Deanne. I have long been an advocate of Hippotherapy, basically riding a horse stimulates and helps build your core and leg muscles – it works! Thanks to my lovely daughter for her help, we saddled Ole' Stinger and boosted Deanne into the saddle. Immediately you could see Deanne's posture resume that of the noted horsewoman she has been all her life. Tobee, my daughter, walked alongside for a few minutes and then Deanne said she was "on her own". WOW! Many tears welled up in my eyes and I said a prayer of "Thank You" to my Lord Jesus as my wonderful wife was restoring her horsemanship and her health! THAT was my birthday present! I've always said "try your hardest and if that fails – TRY HARDER!!! Deanne's not going to quit, I'm not going to quit – NOR SHOULD YOU!!!
