1 Corinthians, Chapter 9, verse 24... "Don't you realize that in a race, everyone runs, but only one person gets the prize? So Run to Win!" Why go to school if you don't want to learn or achieve? Why go to your job if you don't want to be successful? Why play a game if you don't want to win? Why go fishing if you don't want to catch a fish? Think about this...today more than ever before, people exist and have that existence handed to them without any effort or education or pride to earn it! Do you go bowling just to watch the ball roll down the alley? Or do you try to knock over all the pins? Does a golfer just hit the ball and then play like a Golden Retriever and go fetch it? No! The goal is to get it in the cup! My point is this...why do anything except be a blob of worthless flesh if there's not a goal or an achievement for your efforts?? A young man with Downs Syndrome opens up a sock factory with his father...very successful! An Army Veteran comes home with no legs and now is a huge real estate developer! A former NFL football player with an incurable debilitating disease, totally immobile, writes books and poetry by holding a pen in his month! These people didn't give up, they didn't say "game over", they ran to win at life, and they're still running! I'm not going to lie to you...I hurt, really hurt every day. After 18 surgeries and broken legs, and hips and shoulders and a smashed -in face – I hurt. Yup...it's easier to sit in a chair and do...nothing! It's easier to sit in a chair and tell yourself "Oh, woe is me!!" But I'm too competitive. When someone, even today, tells me I can't do something... "look out Pard, my lil' wagons gonna' roll right over you"! We are all running a race to be hopefully the best we can be! So instead of eating dust...make it!...Run to win!!
