There is a country song that basically sums up my feelings as I write this week's "Cowpies", "God is great, beer is good and people are crazy!" God is great...look around you, take in all the amazing sights, sounds, and wonders around you. As I gaze out my office window at the cold wind blowing through leafless trees and the sun trying to peak around corners of huge billowy clouds, I realize again, how wonderful and awesome God's power really is. I laugh with scorn and derision at those that consider themselves "educated elites" that base their premise of life on an "exploding rock"...REALLY?! And...I chortle to myself when I hear these "cheerleaders of Charlatanism" tell me that we "evolved" from a cold, heartless, immobile stone and...here we are today thanks to a piece of gravel??! The thought of evolving from a stone is really quite remarkable. I sat in front of my barn the other night and stared at the ground, waiting for one of the rocks to nudge the other or move to a more comfortable location or at least let me know they're planning on helping us get peace in the Middle East.... NOTHING...no movement...those darn rocks haven't moved. To buy into the "Big Bang" theory of life is as moronic as believing that we pitiful mere mortals can control the weather! Oh sure, some of you would rush to tell me that "We can seed the clouds for rain or snow, and we can control weather in the future"...NO you can't and NO you won't! Don't elevate your peon-self above God and HIS control of our universe...you're not that smart and never will be! So it's true, God is great...and a cold beer is good...and above all, people are crazy thinking they're above our Creator! Me?? I'm just smilin' at the feeble mindedness of people, some locally, that are not very sharp knives in the drawer! I choose God and his creation and I know I'm RIGHT!
