WARNING!!! The following blog could happen or is already happening to YOU! It's almost like my system is wired to a clock... "boiing boiing" at exactly 2:10 every morning...I have to get up and "take a walk". But there are some very worrisome and time consuming actions that must be addressed. First, I try to roll over on my bad hip to let my legs dangle on the side of the bed for a moment to get feeling and the blood flowing. Okay, good, now I push myself into a sitting position, holding on to the nightstand for dear life, and try to focus on the ceiling and the floor...(a mistake could prove hurtful!). Then after a good two minutes of yawning, groaning and trying to find my crutches...I make an attempt to stand upright and perform my "walk". After getting into a vertical position, that may take another two minutes, I try the first step. Brilliant flashes of pain run from my toes to my nostrils, I want to cry out in agony to my sleeping bride but I "John Wayne" it and more forward. At this point I encounter another small problem, NOT knowing where Ruby the dog is laying, so, I tap-tap on the floor til I hit her, she growls and I know exactly where to step. I'm almost there, 8 steps, 9 steps and BANG!! I've come "nose to door" with the bathroom entrance that's SUPPOSED to be left open at night!!! I'm staggered for a moment, almost falling like Joe Frazier in the 10th and then I continue my trek. Finally....I MADE IT...all in one piece! I shut the door and turn on the light and then...I don't have to go! I can't go! I'm wide awake, bruised and...I can't go! Curse words are racing like Secretariat through my brain as I trudge back to bed in the dark...knowing that I'll probably be getting up again in 15 minutes! "Old-er" age is NOT all golden – the preceding could and may be happening to you!

Don't forget Dr-History.com! Exciting episodes of the old West!!
