Ring!! Ring!!....I bound out of my chair and with the speed of a 3-legged gazelle reach for the phone before the third ring triggers the answering service. "Do not hang up the phone this is a courtesy call from"....I slam down the receiver and stand there trembling in ANGER! How dare this snaggle toothed spinster (I'm assuming) call me and demand that I'd better not hang up!...its my phone Cinderella! The "one" that really "spurs my mule" is "Congratulations! You have qualified for X amount of money to pay off your students loans!!!" Student loans??! In my college days we went to work after school to P.I.F. our educations! The only "Student Loan" I ever had was from Professor Ridley staking me in a dorm poker party! I won and paid him back immediately. Lets try this one...Your warranty on vehicle "Bla-Bla" is up, to avoid any serious problems do the following immediately...Well, first off, the car they're talking about, I traded off in 2007, its nice they keep on top of things!! From my Google listing in danger, to many and assorted insurance plans to keep me "SAFE", I'm fed up with these "Creatures from Heck" bothering me! WOW...they even call my cell phone, and some of these start at 6 in the morning! Many of these "bothers" have local numbers, so how is one to know WHO is a credible caller?? I am not a "techie", don't want to be. After a long "think-tank" experience (5 minutes sitting on the bench in from of the barn) I have reached the conclusion that the Indian tribes utilized the right idea of communication: Smoke Signals. Two billowy puffs meant "How's the Chief", or a series of puffs could mean " big party tonight at Running Wolf's tepee #3, or one very large "spoosh" of smoke could mean "Buffalo Chase tomorrow morning at 9 AM" - - Yes, things were much better then. Honestly, we were better off getting in the ole' buckboard and going to the neighbors to say "Howdy" with the offering of some apple pie and good coffee and a visit face to face that really meant something! From all the phone solicitations, to the text messages, to the tweets, to the emails...STOP!!! Let's get to know each other again – face to face – and MAYBE we all could get along better! Ring!! Ring!!...NOPE!

Don't forget Dr-History.com! Exciting episodes of the old West!!
Now in 110 countries...110!! And not one of them
have said they're offended!
