For those of you that read "Cowpies", who may be a little gray on top and looking in the rear view mirror more than the windshield...whew! We made it further than we probably should have! Of all the books in the Bible, one that really reaches out and grabs my awareness of life is Ecclesiastes. From birth to the grave, everything that can and will happen in our lives is laid out on paper pages that read like a diary for all of us. One sentence from Chapter 6 verse 10 says "It was known a long time ago what each person would be. So there's no use arguing with God about your destiny"...whoa, that says it all. When I think and remember back to high school, then college, odd jobs, choices and circumstances, it's really obvious to me that we all have had and still are following a road map laid out by God. I firmly believe this. Chapter 7 verse 13 tells us - "Accept the way God does things for who can straighten what he has made crooked" MMMM? I believe each of us has an "interstate" that God created for us to get to our final destination – eternal life. However, many of us, (me really included!) take too many dumb and sinful "off ramps" and find it really tough to get back on the right road!! Boy, that verse really poked me in the nose! I've driven off the "main road" way too many times and have created so many headache and heartache problems that would not have happened if I'd just read and studied the "road map"!! Well, I've still got a lil' gas in the tank and hopefully I can "polish up" some of my rusty errors! I'm not perfect, far from it, neither are you. However, like the last sentence of Ecclesiastes says "God will judge us for everything we do, including every secret thing whether good or bad". That's powerful! LIVE...LOVE...and be thankful for what God has given you...and for petes sake...stay on the road.
