Oh boy!...It just hit me....I'm really getting on in years. Most of my days are
over my right shoulder in the rear view mirror...I've been on this beautiful God
Blessed planet for 65 years and have seen, as of now...12 different presidents!
I can remember ice cream socials in my hometown city park that didn't have to be
monitored by rules, regulations, city codes or posting caloric content of the pies!
I can remember going to "Tibbies" after church on Sundays...a fried chicken and
dumpling DELIGHT, and lickin' my fingers with a smile on
my face, I can remember 4th of July parades and fireworks and tears running down
my Uncle Harmon's face as our flag went marching by...I remember before our basketball
games we'd all join hands and pray to play to our best abilities...I remember
a lot of good things. But...right now...this minute...STOP whatever
you're doing and just think where we are headed NOW. Can't
pray,...can't speak out about our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and invite others
to your church, OH NO, that would be proselytizing.
Oh! How shameful!! Can't eat what you want, can't go certain places because the
enviros deem you a wasteful and destructive human, can't say anything about our
worst president and administration in this Country's history because THEN
you'd be a hate monger and a bigot, can't criticize the gay, lesbian or transgendered
because they are now a "protected species"...(of abnormality)!)...Can't,
Can't, Can't...I'm sick of that word! Folks...there is NOTHING WE CAN'T DO
IF WE TRY! We can change the morals,
we can change the attitudes, we can teach and earn respect, we can
restore this Country to economic strength and earn respect from the world...WE
CAN...but...we all need to try! The doctors told me I'd be in a
wheelchair by age 16 and never leave it,...they told my parents that polio would
"limit" what I can do or accomplish...Really? To ME that was barnyard
fecal material and I wasn't buying it!! Everything...Everything...they,
the so called experts said I couldn't do...I damn sure did! I've enjoyed
proving them wrong. I've enjoyed smirking as I surpassed even MY
OWN expectations AND thanks to the
world's greatest wife I'm still defying the Vegas odds of "doing"! This Country...the
United States of America CAN do the same...but WE
have to spit in the eye of the naysayers and the evil doers and literally STEP
OVER THEM and like "Larry, the Cable Guy" says
- "Git er' done"! Stand up, Be Vocal, Chastise the liberals, tell the enviros to
crawl under a flat rock (a heavy one) and let's take back America and make it again
a Country we're proud of! WE CAN!
A poem was given to me this past week that made my blood pressure rise and brought
tears to my eyes regarding the lives lost in Benghazi. It was written by an anonymous
marine corps officer.....
The Battling Boys of Benghazi
We're the Battling Boys of Benghazi
no fame, no glory, no paparazzi.
Just a fiery death in a blazing hell
defending the country we loved so well.
It wasn't our job, but we answered the call
fought to the consulate, and scaled the wall.
We pulled twenty countrymen from the jaws of fate,
led them to safety, and stood at the gate.
Just the two of us, and foes by the score,
but we stood fast to bar the door.
Three calls for reinforcement, but all were denied,
so we fought and we fought, and we fought till we died.
We gave our all for our Uncle Sam
but Barack Obama didn't give a damn.
Just two dead SEALS, who carried the load,
no thanks to us - - we were just "bumps in the road".
God Bless them...Amen!
