Happy Easter! This "Cowpies" will be mostly on a religious track...with a few tidbits
that I think are important for all Christians to be aware of. First off, our Supreme
Court is studying and debating the gay marriage issue, and if passed favorably,
will have a devastating effect on the future of morality and values forever.
The "gay" lifestyle is sick and perverted and denounced many times in the
Scriptures. We're all sinners and at our home every night we ask for forgiveness
of our sins and pray that those wrong deeds are not committed again.
Not so with the gays and lesbians – they say God made them that way – it's
not a sin and everything is just "rosy"...BUNK!! They along
with the absolute perverts, the transgenders, are forcibly changing and desecrating
God's Word, and we sit back and let this filth roll over us. For thousands of years,
God has blessed the Holy State of matrimony between a man and a woman...now
it's being demeaned with the vows between "Clyde and Homer". I hope and I pray
that SCOTUS will lean favorably in their opinions to NOT
devalue marriage and American families and simply say NO
to another nail in the coffin of decency.
Another story that really got my "wranglers in a wrinkle" was the Florida Atlantic
University professor that told his class to write the name "JESUS" on a piece of
paper, lay it on the floor and then stomp on it and grind it into the dirt!...One
young man refused and was removed from class! Fortunately, with all
the "HUBBUB" that "hit the fan", the University "re-considered" and apologized for
the "incident"! First off, the apology should have been demanded from the liberal
loon professor and I think an attempt to fire him would have been in order. Stand
up Christians...Where are you??? If this "mindless twit professor" had called for
Muslims Mohammed to be ground into the dirt...we'd have a major jihad!!! I'm done
turning the other cheek, how about you?
They yelled crucify him, crucify him and Pontius Pilate washed his hands
of the vengeance that would kill....Jesus. They demanded that Barabas,
a known killer be spared and turned loose...they demanded that Jesus be nailed
to a cross and die...they hit Him, spat on Him, they whipped Him,
they cursed at Him....but never once did He cry out against them.
They made Him drag his cross up to the hill of death known as "Golgotha"...they
jeered and laughed at Him as He fell under the burden He was carrying....the
burden of all their sins. When His bloody battered body could stand
no more – the soldiers forced a man in the crowd named Simon to carry Jesus' cross.
They laid Jesus on the cross with arms outstretched, one soldier holding his arm,
another holding his body while the third picked up the heavy spikes and hammered
them through Jesus's wrists and then nailed his feet to the foot board of the cross.
The searing, throbbing pain of Jesus flesh tearing as they dropped
the cross upright into the hole, the agony and anguish of knowing THIS was His death
– they mocked Him and said "Look at You NOW, King of the Jews – Save yourself",
they ridiculed Him as they walked away.
At 3 PM, Jesus said His last words – it was finished and...He died.
Good Friday....Good Friday??? How can it be "good"...well, my friends, it is good
because on Easter Sunday, Jesus beat sin and Satan and rose from the dead
to reign as our Savior for all eternity! Easter – a clarion call for all
Christians to rejoice and be filled with happiness that there is hope and
there is everlasting life! Celebrate this Easter weekend with thankful hearts
and be proud to be a CHRISTIAN – God Bless you and Happy Easter!
