Zeb at the Ranch – Cowpies and Coffee Cups
~ Volume 6 ~
Again?...Oh Come on...Not again! Obama called you and me "Lazy" last week and those are fightin' words! I've worked hard all my life to develop my career and never had the luxury of spending one single day at home on my son's birthday...he was born on the 4th of July...I was always gone...announcing. I've worked hard to develop my radio program into one of the most listened to in the United States. I've worked hard to learn and develop a real estate business that has seen some severe "drought". My wife has worked hard all of her life to maintain a beautiful home and also work for school systems and a hospice. My neighbors all work hard to maintain some level of a lifestyle that is increasingly being taken away because of regulations.

Enough!...Enough!!..Stick your hands out Obama, let's just see how many callouses you have from working...ever! You "silver spoon" demagogue, how dare you call me lazy! Thirty minutes with me cleaning horse stalls and you'd be on oxygen and possible life support...mmm – not a bad thought!....

In our "Darn Nice Folks" paragraph this week, I want to introduce you to Don and Ardys Burt down in sunny California. Don is a past president of the American Quarter Horse Association. We have known Don and 'Ardy' for many years and they "brighten" up any room anytime you're with them. When I was selected to announce the World Equestrian Games in Spain in 2002, they were with us and made the trip one to cherish forever! As of late, Don's been fighting some health problems but he has the greatest nurse in the world..Ardy's tough!

Oklahoma City, Oklahoma...I've been coming to this great Midwestern city for over thirty years. I announced my first National Finals Rodeo here in 1982 and was selected to announce here until 1984 when the NFR moved to Las Vegas, Nevada. Also in 1982, I was selected to announce the World Quarter Horse Show in OKC and I'm celebrating 30 years of this city's great hospitality. From the western wear stores to the Really Good Restaurants, OKC is a "Cowboy Town"! I love it!

Makes you wonder?? How dumb can some people be?? I fly a lot and most of the TSA people are cordial and try to be helpful and efficient. But to the percentage of TSA "help" that actually would be better qualified to clean dog kennels...find another job! In St. Louis, I'm just about to go through the checkpoint and this "Bright Bulb" says "put your crutches on the counter and walk through...?? I said "Sir. If I could walk through without my crutches I wouldn't need the crutches!" This Wizard of Intellect was taken aback by this remark and stated again "Give me those crutches and go through"!!...I do not have patience with obstinate people that are 'dumb' and I simply stated "Have you been this stupid all your life or is it a trait that you've acquired recently???: Oh Goody! Here comes the supervisors and finally we get this mess straightened out!...On to my flight and he to his dog kennel!!!

Happy Thanksgiving!...You hear those words and do you stop to really understand what they mean? Have a Happy Day giving thanks for all the blessings that the Good Lord has given you and me! I have soooo much to be thankful for and yes...it will be a happy day with my family and with the warm memories of "Thanksgivings Past"...To you I say God Bless and "Happy Thanksgiving"!

Adios Buckaroos and Buckarettes!

Fly the Flag

God Bless!!
