Oops!...Double oops! I forgot to write this! It's Friday night at 6:00 PM and we're leaving at 6 AM to see my son in Nampa...So...here are some "shorties".
- I had a story on this week about a family of six that spends an "average" of $365 per month from their EBT card on...ice cream! Yes, ICE CREAM! Half gallons of every merry lil' flavor, ice cream bars, ice cream sandwiches, oh how about some cappuccino gelato, cookie ice cream sandwiches, fudge bars and more and more!! Can you honestly imagine $365 a month for enough ice cream to have a summer band concert on your front lawn once a week for a month!! This lunacy financed by...yup...you and me, the good ole' get outta bed, go to work, pay our bills taxpayers!! I'm all for helping people "in need" but $365 a month for ICE CREAM is a knock out punch to common sense and an open door to diabetes and obesity! There has to be major adjustments to the "welfare system" even at the risk of limiting these "great white whales" to one dixie cup a month! Bon' apetite!
- I put on a pair of Wranglers this morning that had holes in each knee...I thought...mmmm what if someone sees me with these on, pretty hobo-ish! But then Goober reminded me, that those jeans probably would bring at least $50 bucks from the younger set that really don't care if they look "homeless and helpless"! Times have changed...and NOT for the better.
