Look around you...look at your phone, the stapler, the desk mat, your camera case, your desk drawers...all black. People say "the black hole will engulf us" or "there sure are some black clouds rolling in". Tires are black and it used to be all the telephones were black, and in mourning, black clothing is the norm. Evil is perceived to be black and I knew of a cattle feedlot manager that would never hire a cowboy wearing a black hat! It's been said that a criminal has a black heart, however coal is black and its been good for civilization AND oil has been called "Black Gold!" One of my favorite card games is called "Black Jack", my microphone and radio equipment is all black, and when there's a fire, there's a lot of black smoke. Most all the players in the NFL and NBA are black and the limos that take our President to the airport or parades...yes...black. NOW...the day after Thanksgiving is called Black Friday...why?? And, of course, now we must refer to Negroes as blacks...sounds rather rude, doesn't it? Why not just say Ted, or Jill or Hank like a reference to a white person? Red man, Brown man, Yellow man, Black man or White man...why not just "Hello, Jim, hey there Eric"? Black Lives Matter?? Why not "ALL LIVES MATTER". NAACP – throw it in the garbage...ALL people of ALL colors should be advancing in unison to make the world a better place. The cry for more black coaches and more black politicians and more black teachers, on and on...let's get to a colorless society where the cream rises to the top regardless of skin pigmentation! RACISM exists because it makes money for Racists...plain and simple! The problem with the "blacks" today is a problem with the blacks today – they, as a race, have to pull themselves up by their boot straps and be better and attain more...you can't have life's assets handed to you by others that have worked for them!! If I were to call my favorite card game "White Jack" or the big sale day as "White Friday" or "White Lives Matter"...Whooo baby.....there would be big "trouble in River City"!! Color, divisions, racism...STOP IT! Let's try to be God's creation of loving, caring and helping each other to be the BEST we can be!
Had a great Thanksgiving Brunch over at Tobee's. When her family sits down to a meal "its every man for himself"! With 3 teenage boys, it's survival of the fittest and watch out for flying elbows. Great food, great times with Nick and the boys and Tobee can put food on the table! Loved it...fanatic day...Thanksgiving!!
