What's in your wallet??...not much. I'm griping now. A husband and wife can NOT go through even a drive-in to get "lunch" without paying a $20 bill! We try not to "Dine Out"...(the word "dine" rings hollow with fast food!) more than once a week...nobody except the Rockefellers can afford to! If you and your lady-love pulled into a Wendy's or a McD's just 3 times a week – look at these numbers! 3 X $20 = $60 per week or $240 a month or $2,880 per year or based on 40 years....$115,200!!...$115,200 on stale, thrown together by teenager hands hamburgers and fries that are guaranteed to blow up your gastro system! LOOK very closely at your next bulging burger...is it really worth it! What's in your wallet?
The last "Cowpies" mentioned that I was back on the rodeo trail...and...so far not so good! I missed my dallies last weekend, (where you wrap the rope around the horn to stop the steer) and had I not been so tardy in my duty...we would have won! Then, just 2 nights ago, I missed a steer that had been reincarnated from the bloodlines of the great racehorse Secretariat---holy oxygen mask!...could he and did he run!! So...to be current on the pros and cons of coming out of retirement...financially it hasn't been bright...rather dismal...but...I'm headed out again next week!
This weekend is the Idaho Rodeo Hall of fame Induction Ceremonies...and everything is first class! WOW! All the work, all the preparation coming together to honor more great rodeo athletes and bucking stock! It's been a pleasure to serve as vice-president and renew old friendships! God is great!
I first noticed this A.M. that our hummingbird population is growing, due to the fact that my neighbor stopped feeding them! We don't mind...they're fun to watch and we got nicknames for all of them! See...this is what happens when you get old with extra time on your hands! Let's see – there's Norman, and Blackie, oh there's Mabel and "Moonsie" an.....See you next week~
