We had just finished supper Thursday night when I saw the boy on TV. He was approximately 10 years old and he was bragging that he was the one that had started the fire for the anti-Trump protesters. As if that wasn't bad enough, as the news reporter asked him "Why?", the kid responded "screw President Trump"!! A 10 year old, on a Washington, D.C. Street, at approximately 9:30 at night, on a school night...starting a fire and shouting "Screw President Trump"...WOW.
Today, it is not acceptable or even permissible to enact the type of punishment this cocky, no-nothing kid should have had! But wait...where were the "parents"? What kind of parents would allow this kind of behavior from their child, on a street, in a city that is one of the most crime-ridden in America??!!...watching and listening to this "kid" left me dumbfounded...speechless!
If you're offended by my next statement...I don't care! This kid should have been taken over Dad's knee and had his posterior reddened to the point of "wanting to stand up for 3 days" and a new bar of Ivory soap should have been inserted in his mouth sideways to stop any more low class statements from his foul mouth! As for the "parents", what kind of person would allow their offspring to act in such a revolutionary and revolting manner?? Quite frankly, I'd like to see the establishment of a "Parental Behavior Board" and in cases like this, inflict a tough personality adjustment period out behind the barn!...if you get my drift!
I firmly believe, that the only way we're ever going to clean up the cesspool of "anything goes" is to revert back to old standards of behavior, and severe punishment if rights and wrongs and respect are not adhered to. The actions and words that came out of this "kid's" mouth were absolutely a reflection of slovenly, lazy, pathetic parenting. It boils down to respect, and right now America seems to have lost the definition of the word. Whether it's at church, school, anywhere...it's past time we all got back to the basics of what is right and appropriate. This kid...and his parents need to start walking to the barn!!
With the comparable I.Q. of a dead flashlight battery, the left is out in force to protest Donald Trump as our 45th President. All I can say is this - "Go get 'em Donald, Make America Great Again" anyway, anyhow! Let the naysayers tear their hair out and cry on street corners – it's long overdue that the "bus to the promised land" rolls over the speed bumps! Lead, follow, or get out of the way! Better days are coming on!!!!
